Don't Go It Alone

Want to lose weight? Don't go it alone, a buddy could be the missing ingredient. When you have the support of a friend or family member it can keep you on track. It can help with everything from sticking to your exercise program to healthy eating, or just venting about how you really wanted that cheesecake today.

It is easier to fall off the wagon when you are not accountable to anyone. But with a buddy, you are accountable, even if it's just not wanting to let them down, or a little healthy competition, it works. Whether you are on a weight loss diet, or are using another way to loose weight, going in as a team may help you to succeed.

It just seems easier when you're not in it alone. Someone else is going through the same thing, and facing the same hurdles. After talking with your doctor about your program, start thinking about who would be a good partner.

You should pick someone who is supportive, and really wants to do this. Not someone who is going to quit a few weeks in. You will find that you and your buddy provide support and a valuable life line to each other while trying to loose weight.

Having companionship will help you push through your workouts or walks, and help you stick to you healthy eating plan. You can talk about cravings or accomplishments when you made a healthy choice even when it was hard.

It's nice to have a personal cheerleader, always letting you know they believe in you ,and you CAN do it, you can loose weight. Once you are a team you will find it's not so hard, and you can celebrate each others milestones together. Not only are you getting healthier and fitter, you are forming a lasting relationship by overcoming a challenge together.
